Bedwyr was a scion of the line of Sanctanu, hereditary advisors to the Elegists Regent of Feyr Caverill. The line had somewht fallen into disrepute by the time Bedwyr reached the age of majority, due in part to their association with Myf Sanctanu, the last and most ill-fated of the advisors to Ionen II during the Folly and the resulting occupation and Dusk War.
Bedwyr sought to resurrect the glory of the family line, rising rapidly through the Chorus. He became the Ley Eligist of the Ley of Taesi at the uncommonly young age of 104 years and has served the ley faithfully in the intervening centuries.
A staunch traditionalist, although Bedwyr acknowledges the Folly was wrong, he is nevertheless proud of his ancient lineage, attempting to instil a similar sense of heritage and honour into his children. He laments the passing of the Elves from the land, and was especially hurt by the decison of his granddaughter, Torralie, to abandon her genehed in order to raise her foundling child, Galinndan - so much so that he hid her decision from the rest of his family, letting them believe she perished in the malestrom of Cynnyd. 5724.
