Ipsimus Academy
The winter snow settles on the grounds of this gray stone building. High walls and gates keep away from discerning stares the courtyard where young minds gather in small groups, huddling together for warmth. Above them, the clock tower ticks steadily, awaiting its time to ring once again the encroaching hour.
The Ipsimus Academy has always been a place where the brightest menestian minds could develop and flourish, and the important figures it has formed are a testament to its techniques. However, such activities require a home, headquarters if you will. And the Academy does certainly look the part of the school of manipulation it has become.
Situated not far from the Senate of Vestreykil, the Ipsimus Academy is a large building made out of tall granite walls, glass domes, half-interred auditoriums, and dark wood floors. Mosaics of historical scenes and ornate chandeliers decorate its halls. In addition to the classes, libraries and debate halls expected in such an institution, the building also includes student dormitories and dining halls for those students who have traveled far and wide to attend this school, or simply for those who wish to emancipate themselves from their families during their studies.

Place of learning and home to the Ipsimus Academy.
Architecture
The first floor has a somewhat austere outside appearance, as it is made with large granite blocks and very few windows, although the fence surrounding the courtyard slightly obscures the remains of its earlier, simpler architecture.
The second and most recent floor, however, is slightly more stylish, with its timber framed walls of dark oak and plaster. The second floor also has a higher number of windows than the ground floor, as it houses the student dormitories and living spaces.
The entrance to the Academy is an ornate iron door placed at the center of a clock tower. The intricate clock was a gift to the Karpov family, the founders of the Academy, by the then Grand Counsul of the Realm, Jaksa Uvarov.
The inside of the Academy is by all standards more impressive than its exterior. With its vaulted ceilings, numerous mosaics, auditorium classrooms, dark wood floors and other decorations, it has all the appearance of a distinguished place of learning.
