Absyun
The Morning Lord, The Law Giver, The Protector
Absyun is the god of justice, law, and order. He combats the forces of evil, chaos, and destruction in defense of the innocent. He is the voice of the righteous, the blazing light illuminating the darkness, and the sword of the protector.
The followers of Absyun are many. Dwarves recognize his justice, as do many humans. The Atathian Empire and the Trading Coalition both venerate him. His followers pray for protection and strength, and in return live a pure, just life. Many of those who claim to follow him fail to achieve the virtue of faith.
Each nation typically operates its own "Church of Absyun", with varying rites between the Churches. Saints are recognized between different Churches. Humans will typically recognize their heroes as Saints, while Dwarves revere their ancestors as Saints.
Structurally, Absyun's places of worship are large temples and cathedrals. In areas faithful to Absyun, these are some of the largest buildings in a given settlement.
A number of knightly, monastic, and clerical orders are dedicated to Absyun. These orders often have monasteries and fortresses as part of their domain. Many of these orders have a martial or crusading focus. Notable orders include the Order of Saltz and the Holy Order of St. Kassandros.
