Personal history

Taranis is the god of war and violent conflict. The youngest of the six Durahee, Taranis has always been fascinated with violence and war. Many say that his desire for war is no more than the youngest brother of a group trying to assert himself amongst the gods. Whatever the reason may be for his desires, he enjoys war and conflict non the less. Taranis was seen as a nuisance to several of his brothers and it came to a head one day and he was branded by Dagda and Aergetlam for his lack of respect for the older Durahee. He was branded with the divine fire of Aergetlam's own hand and runes in the language of the Old Gods were seared into the flesh of his back. This drove him even further into anger and desire for power.   At the council of the gods Taranis was humiliated by Lugus and his humiliation, causes by his own open aggression to the now king of the gods, had a profound impact on how he interacted with his brothers, he was no longer openly aggressive and hostile, but much more secretive. He split his mind in half, one for open war and another for secret war. Sithis Taranis is the aspect of the god that is most often invoked by many assassins guilds. He learned from his eldest brother Tuatha, the value in being shrowded in darkness and secrecy.
