Black Tree Thicket

A large and dark forest of dead and dying trees in the northeast corner of Emaul, growing out from The Frozen Ruins. Originally a thriving forest, the Black Tree Thicket has become cursed, with the plant life twisted and gnarled in unnatural ways. Despite the condition of the trees, the forest continues to grow and spread, leaving many to believe the curse is sentient and constantly moving.
While some tribes of goblins and bugbears have traditionally lived in the woods, many have been forced out as the curse continues to make them uninhabitable, leading to clashes with the people of Farhorn initially. Thanks to the efforts of Brodar , however, many have managed to relocate to The Woods of Lost Souls or even to Farhorn itself.
