Insanites

In Turkish, insan means human.
Insanite ethnicity formed at the first century of second era. After the trials of Avgannah took place, very big portion of the population was either fled or died. Yet some of the alchemists, soldiers, high ranking officials and their servants decided to stay.   They spent thousand years to discover the reformed landmass and develop alchemy techniques to help them adapt. The relatively shorter life in the area resulted them developing a somewhat detached, extreme and unbalanced culture. Insanite means the people of this culture.   Outsiders who visited them called them Insane, which they decided to adopt the name and its variations to describe their culture.   Insanite culture and understandings have many ironies and contradictions;    They claim to be people of the moments, never planning for future but they try to make Avgannah to be a safer place.   They act as they don't care about outsiders, but they are very hospitable.   They believe figurative things to be illusions, but they bond with each others.   They say all that matters is the time they have left in the world, but put their lives in extreme risks...   Yahnst Kingdom is how outsiders describe them, but they don't exactly have a government system. For them, everything is negotiable, negatible or permissable. Yahnst is the name of a hill which they first build their only settlement.   In the 6th century of the third age, their population has peaked at 500.000. About 400.000 half blood and 100.000 humans. It is widely believed that some proto-proteans live among them disguised as half-bloods.

Culture

Culture and cultural heritage

Insanite culture is about being noticed. They try to act in unique, never before seen manners; They can shout strange things, making up words... Yet they only try to be noticing to each other. They act neutral to outsiders and doesn't try to attract them.

Shared customary codes and values

They consider themselves to be the foresters and caretakers of Avgannah. They discovered ways to live peacifully with extremely hostile landmass of Avgannah. Like, they feed acidrays with lightning in order to keep them full, so they won't eat people roaming the Avg Dessert.   It's a custom for Insanites to practise Insalchemy(Which is named after themselves). The problem with their technology is that, Insalchemy is blocked in many ways because of safeguards placed in Law of Alchemy by Royal Proteans. The main reason Insalchemy is called that, is because of the impossibility of an act and the stubborn works of the Insalchemist.   Insalchemy is a self sustaining type of alchemy discovered by insanites. They prefer to use it solely.   Insanites are expected to make sense out of every single thing they encounter. Everything must have a reason and they usually try to make sense of the smallest of things(Like a fly perching on their face or ones need to urinate)

Average technological level

Insanites are the worlds leaders in Insalchemy. Their approach to alchemy is completely original and much more dangerous than other types. Insalchemy can have endless applications which take the place of all other alchemy types, yet can never be as specialised or relatively exact as the other types.

Common Etiquette rules

They are known to speak over each other. If someone doesn't understand what they said on a cacaphony, they can be (minorly)offended. Outsiders have very hard time to adapt Insanites. If they are able to, they mostly become Insanite themselves.

Common Dress code

They wear strange, sometimes ugly and mostly striking outfits. But can also try to be noticing by wearing ascetic clothes, covered in mud or by being as stinky as they can be...

Art & Architecture

Their art is similar to modern art and pop art of the real world. They make tapestries, drawings, plints, statues, sculptures of simple things; Like a branch of a tree falling from it because of wind or pink, purple colours, an empty easel shaped like the crusts of a sandwich... Their architechture always uses strange angles. Instead of building in a 90 degree, they built in 83 degree, appearing crooked. Yet they end up being extremely durable.    At every aspect of their art and architechture they use alchemy.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

Brother Hunters: Sometimes they build friendships with Nighthunters and spent some time with them. But out of 10 who attempts only 3 survives.   The Rule of Time(Insanocracy): In insanite culture, no one is equal. If you want to make decisions, you can be at a specific location in a specific time(One can have a saying). If you do so, you're allowed to have a saying in big decisions. Yet decisions are optional for the general public, anyone who give an almost arbitrary reason could choose not to comply a rule or a decision.   Illusion: Insanites doesn't believe mastery. They belive one is not even master of their own minds, so being a master of anyone or anything is an illusion. Government, rules, laws and every figurative term is part of this illusion. One could only choose empirical truths(Way they seem, way they act...) and even those choices will be altered with the illusion. So they refuse to take control and direct themselves in this chaotic illusion of life.

Funerary and Memorial customs

Once someones passes away, they throw away the carcass to an acid jungle which they melt in time. They call this, ''The way back to Reality''

We are trapped in the illusion, illusion decides the limits.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

They don't value beauty, delusions are part of their culture which sometimes alter their vision and make them see their partners as perfect to their tastes.

Gender Ideals

Everything goes.

Courtship Ideals

They speak over each other and mostly tell them what they would want from other. Like, ''I would prefer you to be blond.'' Mostly this angers them and they use sex as catharsis.

Relationship Ideals

Their relationships mostly form around insane projects. Two could help each others projects(Either alchemical, technical or mundane) and through that time they consider themselves to be in a relationship. After the project is done, they might maintain the relationship.
