Feiþan

Feiþan is a school of thought based primarily on the ideas put forth by Jóler of Tnúros in the 6th century a.Dr. It's one of the most popular philosophical traditions of the Ameders along with Zarnism, particularly in the western city-states, while the latter is more prominent in the central ones.
The main teachings of feiþan came to being after Jóler fell into the sea on a voyage from Tnúros to Moralút, where he had a vision before either (depending on the tradition) being saved by the crew or washing ashore. After settling in Moralút and reflecting on his vision, Jóler came to the conclusion which all branches of feiþan are based on: everything is made of the element of water. He spent much of his time on the beach, sharing, discussing and expanding on his teachings with anyone who showed interest, and eventually became known as the sage on the beach as a result.
Although not the first ones to suggest it, feiþanists also popularized the idea among Ameders that sailing and fishing in the ocean is not an affront to the ancestral spirits (traditionally believed to live under the sea), but quite the opposite, that seafood and other resources from the depths are gifts from the ancestors to the living.
Feiþanists are most prominent in the city-states of Atnykos, Moralút and Telúknaar.
