Blood-Wing Shadow Dragon

Throughout Drakon myth and legend is a reference of a specific breed of dragon known as the Blood Wing. These dragons are said to be the heralds of Kithar and his will, and seeing such a creature is seen as an ill omen by the Drakon people. Nothing good ever follows the sight of these dark scaled beasts with wine-red wings.
The Blood Wings are far from a myth, however, and have been seen even by those who are not Drakon that venture into the Ashlands of Ak'Aidor. For many, however, their encounters with the Blood Wings are not as dragons, but as their disguised selves posing as Drakon, Humand, or even Elves.
It is also said that every agent of the draconic god Kithar has a Blood Wing servant assigned to them by the god of darkness. These dragons, serving as agents and heralds of Kithar, are both highly revered and feared by the Drakon.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Blood Wings follow the same general anatomy of all dragons in Kernier. They have an elongated, muscular body, with a prehensile tail, a long neck ending in a horned head, and six limbs - Four legs and two wings. Their bodies are covered in dark, reddish scales best described as a dull, muted mauve color. Their wings, a deep, bloodwine-red color, are the name-sake of this draconic variation.
Some Blood Wings, like many other dragon species, lack scales and instead are covered in a thick, tough, leathery hide of a similar dull-mauve color.
Ecology and Habitats
The Blood Wings are generally thought to originate from the mountains around Ak'Aidor, but can be found throughout the region, typically disguised as part of the population to observe and carry out Kithar's will.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Like all dragons, Blood Wings are purely carnivorous creatures, feasting off the various game and wildlife found throughout the region - Especially those found in Kithar's Bounty in and around the Deadwoods. Some Blood Wings have also been known to take Drakon sacrifices - Whether they be willing or not.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
While all dragons have some level of magical ability, the Blood Wings are particularly adept at sensing and identifying magic, even passively. Especially in regards to illusory magicks, the Blood Wings can see through most spells and disguises with a form of constant true sight, making deception difficult if not impossible around one of these creatures.
