Stingers

Stingers are an elite band of bugbear warriors hailing from the depths of the Shifting Sands. Young bugs who dream of joining their ranks venture out into the desert alone to hunt the deadly king scorpions. Many meed their doom in the sun and sand, but those who survive harvest their kill to create their unique chitin armor and utilize the especially potent venom from the insects' stingers to coat their weapons.
Stingers are renowned for their martial prowess, especially in infiltration and assassination. Bugbears are surprisingly stealthy, especially given their robust frames. Chitin makes minimal noise when moving compared to similar metal armor, and scorpion envenomed make even superficial wounds potentially fatal.
