Nightmares

Unicorns were also native to the Sunwood of Syridia before its fall. Though most died in the conquest, a misfortunate few were captured. The dragon curse, Viridia, wove dark magic into their flesh in much the same way she corrupted the high elves into shadowfae. She warped these unicorns into her nightmares, replacing their goodness, grace, and majesty with evil, vanity, and deceit. Their once white coats were turned a midnight black, their manes now shimmer with the fire of their hate, and their eyes glow a maleficent red. Little is known of how many nightmares were created, but if and when Viridia decides to strike out further, they will surely lead the vanguard of her forces.
