The Order of Usurpers
Followers of Darrow, the Order of Usurpers take over Arbolisk during The Inversion, using the Core to convert the country to their whims, and bestow themselves with additional power.
Structure
Darrow: The leader and founder.
Lucas Zelkova: Darrow’s right-hand man, a core guardian created by Darrow himself to protect Talagace's core after he claimed it as his own. An attractive young man with lightly bronzed skin, flowing scarlet hair and eyes that burn the same hue as his hair. He wears a revealing skin-tight white jumpsuit with a v-cut chest window. Refers to himself as Willow’s brother as the two were born from different iterations of the same core. Lucas is ultimately defeated in combat with the Jumpers after assuming a merged form with Rava but gives the last of his life to empower Darrow one last time. He has the ability to freely manipulate, attract, and repulse anything that had been sufficiently affected by radiation from the core.
Archfiend Zanp: A secondary personality of Archlord Zang created by Darrow to allow him to manipulate the soulmaster, to questionable success. Zanp is a defiant man who lived only for the carnage of combat and has a near obsession with Rock after the android managed to chip his sword. He wears black armor with golden highlights and a demonic face engraved upon his chestplate. He fights Rock to the death and iss defeated as the android awakens to the potential of his own soulmaster abilities. With Zanp’s death, Zang is able to align himself with the Jumpers for the final clash against Darrow.
Boss Geneeki: A large keseki, the boss of the seven keseki created when Arbolisk is Inverted. Seven feet tall with razor-sharp claws that can rend metal, venomous fangs, scorpion tails and bat wings, the species has four spindly arms and eight crimson eyes. He and his gang are defeated in a forest fire in their gifted lair.
Black Lancer: A brainwashed(?) identity assumed by Blue Logic during Darrow’s Inversion. He dresses entirely in black leather with slicked back black hair and a white blindfold covering his eyes, in his hands is a double-bladed lance. A man of few words who spends much of his time observing the Jumpers without their knowing and reporting back what he deemed relevant enough to Darrow. He has the ability to merge into the shadows of others, avoiding all detection, as well as to harm and affect people by attacking their shadows. He is responsible for using a core shard to turn Rinoa Applefield into an unwilling weapon for the Usurpers and also executes Philip when it was clear that Darrow’s might just be the losing faction in the conflict.
Philip the Superior: A man who views himself as the man most important within the Order of Usurpers besides Darrow himself. He is a former Juniper family aide who divulged information regarding the core to Darrow, making the tyrant’s takeover that much simpler. For that, Darrow allowed him a position of power within his new regime. Philip wears bulky cerulean armor with an ornate heraldic crest of a snake in the shape of an S wrapped around a blade, a golden crown atop his helm and a large ruby cape. His decorated appearance matches his ostentatious personality. Preferring not to fight unless he absolutely had to, Philip utilizes one of the core shards to grant himself the ability to absorb moisture in the air to increase his own physical size and strength. He is still easily done in by Black Lancer.
Horace Inventio: A brilliant bobble inventor who contributes his advanced robotics to the Order of Usurpers. Has an obsession with the nature of crabs. He wears an oversized white lab coat, purple rubber gloves, and black rubber boots with orange bowl cut styled hair. Inventio is not actually all that interested in ruling unlike the other Usurpers but he appreciates that Darrow saw value in his C.R.A.B. (CRUSTACEOID ROBOTIC ACTIVE BUSTER) units instead of the Whisp units of his rival, Dr. K. He plans to integrate Jyu Gie’s core research into his robotics to create stronger weapons of war but his undersea base is sunk by the Jumpers.
Remington D’Chevalier- A haughty llama Agesian who serves as a combatant among the Order of Usurpers and dreames of one day overthrowing Darow and establishing the Remington Empire. He was formerly an exceptionally gifted student who trained under Djaman but betrayed the Master-at-Arms, slaying countless of his fellow students in the process. He wears the traditional black armor donned by many of the Order’s foot soldiers but his wool coat is exposed in several spots. Also known as Remington of the Heavenly Coat for his impenetrable wool coat which acts as an additional layer of armor. Though he manages to wield the powers of the core crystal for a short time to impede the Jumpers with scorching fire powers, he is eventually consumed by his own lust for power and the crystal causes him to burn out from the inside, ending the life of the arrogant prodigy.
Rava- A failed prototype from the same project that created Rock, making him essentially Rock’s brother. Also known as The Scarlet Rend. He appears identical to Rock with the exception that his armor is a carmine shade. Darrow saved him from being scrapped as he saw potential in even a defective Emerald Tablet substitute. He views Rock as stealing his purpose in life and has dedicated himself to proving that he is not merely a replica. He uses gravity-based attacks normally but was able to use wood powers to devastating effect after utilizing a core crystal. He and Lucas merged into a being known as Red Dragon as a final form of defense against the Jumpers but Rava was entirely destroyed following the battle.
