Baron Darrow Rubicantor
Baron Darrow Rubicantor
A powerful Dragonborn sorcerer, Darrow was locked out of his Draconic form during a rebellion. He searches for a way to return his beloved appearance, deciding to use Talagace's Core to do so.
Physical Description
Facial Features
Beneath his armor, Darrow is shown to be an extremely attractive, effeminate man with sharp facial features, an aquiline nose, very long wavy blond hair and piercing orange eyes.
Physical quirks
Despite his apparent beauty by human standards, Darrow finds his form to be disgraceful and disgusting hence his desire to hide it at all times.
Special abilities
Forbidden Magic- Petrification Curse: Stone Slaves- Darrow's signature and most feared magic. It is a despicable curse that causes anything stricken by it twice to become petrified. The true power and reason this spell was considered so dangerous by the Dragon Empire however is its secondary effect. Those affected by the petrification curse lose any sense of agency or willpower and become subservient to Darrow's will no matter what. He can use this power to turn enemies into his soldiers, manipulate others like puppets, wield weapons that shouldn't be possible for him, break seals, force summoned beings into a contract with him, and much much more. Darrow's hands glow green when the Forbidden Magic is being used.
Magical Prodigy- Darrow was considered an extraordinary sorcerer from a young age due to his ability to proficiently utilize fire, water, earth, wind, and lightning magic while most magicians are considered exceptional to even use two elements at the same level. His true arsenal of spells is nearly endless.
Warping Space- Darrow had previously come into contact with a core fragment earlier in his life, giving him the ability to warp space as he saw fit, often using it to shorten the distance between him and his target.
Summon- Darrow also has the ability to summon Golem, Guardian of Gaia: A massive golem that towers even over some buildings and acts as Darrow's personal guardian and enforcer. Previously, it was an enormous ape who acted as ruler and guardian of a forested planet but Darrow brought it under his control with his Forbidden Magic.
Spells Used During The Inversion
Purple Haze- A thick purple mist that causes anyone that wanders too close to its focal point to be misdirected to another location. Darrow used this spell to protect The Core after taking control of it with his Forbidden Magic during the events of Single Jump Universe.
Feedback Field- A transparent spherical field appears around Darrow and cancels out all attacks that come into contact with it. The weakness of the shield is that it cannot fully block Darrow's own attacks.
Corona Rain- Darrow conjures a red cloud in the sky which then erupts with a downpour of fireballs.
Event Horizon- A black swirling vortex appears in front of Darrow, giving off the appearance of a miniature black hole. Everything in the immediate vicinity is drawn towards this point except Darrow himself. In reality, this isn't actually a black hole and is truly just a particularly strong wind spell that creates a vacuum, the black hole imagery is to break the spirits of his opponents.
Reverse Rejection- The Event Horizon triggers in the opposite direction, sending everything drawn towards Darrow flying out at high speeds in every direction imaginable.
Flight of the Thunderhawk- A large eagle formed from lighting appears by Darow's side. This manifestation is then directed at an opponent, electrocuting them upon contact.
Death Cascade- Darrow channels a deluge of stagnant water above him that comes down towards his target in the form of a waterfall.
Infernal Stream- A stream of fire is focused towards a target.
Frozen Star Strike- A massive burst of ice shurikens fly out in every direction from a focal point channeled in front of Darrow.
Serpent of Prominence- Darrow conjures a large serpent made of magma near him. The serpent then can travel through the earth or through the air towards a target and engulf them upon contact.
Grand Cross- Darrow focuses and four sigils representing the elements of Fire, Wind, Water, and Earth appear behind him. The sigils unleash a laser of concentrated elemental magic corresponding to their unique element. These lasers converge onto a focal point as they rotate around Darrow, completely obliterating his enemy with the primordial forces of the universe.
Zone of the Ender- Darrow creates a large field around an area using his Forbidden Magic. Anything that touches the edge of the field will instantly be petrified while anything inside of the field is slowly subjected to the power of the magic. The speed that the curse spreads is proportional to an opponent's remaining will to fight. Once all desire to stand against Darrow has faded or weakened, those inside of the zone immediately become victims of the curse. Also, Darrow is always fully aware of the location of any object inside of the field.
Omega Meteor- The strongest (and cruelest) of Darrow's impressive arsenal of spells. Darrow's hand glows green, signifying his use of the Forbidden Magic as a collection of victims of his spell are drawn together into a spherical form above him. This is the Omega Meteor, a spell that signals death incarnate. Darrow motions with his hand as if he is throwing the meteor himself at an opponent. Anything hit by the Omega Meteor is petrified and broken down itself, empowering the strength and size of the attack the next time he chooses to use it. As the meteor approaches, the cries of despair and pain from those bound to it can be heard, much to Darrow's satisfaction.
Apparel & Accessories
Typically, Darrow is seen wearing dark green armor made of various dragon scales that covers his entire body. Black steel gauntlets and boots adorn his hands and feet. His face is hidden by a helm that matches the armor and allows only his glowing eyes to be seen from beneath it. On his back he wears a shield and sword that he can equip whenever necessary.
Specialized Equipment
Apocryphal Drake Sword- A broadsword that once was considered a regalia in the Heidia high court. It was said that this sword could only be wielded by a hero among dragonkind and that no others would be able to lift the sword. Darrow circumvented this with the use of his petrification magic, erasing the sword's "fealty" to the dragonic heroes of legend. The blade now has a rocky appearance due to being coated in the forbidden magic.
Apocryphal Drake Shield- The matching shield to go with the legendary sword. It is a heater shield with the heraldic emblems of Heidia adorning it. Much like the sword, Darrow gained control of it through the use of his petrification magic, giving it a rocky appearance.

Personal history
Darrow Rubicantor was born a member of the noble class of the Heidia. From a young age, he was considered a remarkably gifted sorcerer and was called a prodigy by his mentors and peers. For Darrow, his heritage as a member of the strongest ruling class in the galaxy was proof enough of his superiority and his skill with magic was just a benefit he had been blessed with for the sake of helping his people prosper.
He created the Forbidden Magic as a means to subdue and subjugate any enemy of the High Court but due to Darrow's personality, they deemed it too dangerous and felt he could use it to rebel. Darrow was then cursed into a human form, unable to regain his draconic form and banished from the empire. However, he did not take his banishment easily and managed to steal a few heirlooms of the empire before he was forced out in an ensuing battle. Darrow was blinded with rage that he had been sealed into the form of an insignificant creature and sought a way to return to his true form no matter what the cost.
Darrow became obsessed with planetary cores, believing them to be powerful enough to reverse his curse. Eventually, he gained the ability to warp space from a core fragment he came across in his studies. While this was not the power he desired, it proved to him that planetary cores were capable of enacting miraculous feats. He became a threat to the early residents of Talagace before the formation of the Jumpers but was defeated and thrown into a rift, taking him further across the Zetaverse. He later returned to Talagace to enact his plan to make its core his via the use of his Forbidden Magic. While he did take control of the core, it didn't restore his dragon form. However, the power of the core interacting with his Forbidden Magic caused a strange reaction that distorted Arbolisk and its residents. He decided to become the God King of this new universe he had unintentionally created and used other power hungry fools to enact his reign. Ultimately, his rule was thwarted by the Jumpers, led by Rock during this incident and in a death match with the dragonborn jumper, he fell victim to his own diabolical magic and perished as his body crumbled.
