Strange Lagoon
This lagoon, on the edge of the city of Deehill, gets its name from the fact that it is slightly warm. Not bathwater warm but certainly warmer than any large body of water ought to be. This was thought strange when discovered many thousands of years ago but now scholars presume that it is geothermal activity that keeps this lake warm in much the same way that the Murky Lagoon is also heated (but to a lesser extent).
Ecosystem
The lake is slightly warmer than usual, not enough to be dangerous to flora and fauna. In fact, the opposite. Mosquitoes can be a problem during summer months and the warmth encourages several types of lake weed and algae that can choke the shores in several places (especially near the Swamp of Souls), even spreading out quite a distance onto the lagoon. This weed and algae is great food for fish and other aquatic life.
