The High Priest of Sale is an imposing person at first sight, a tall austere looking wood Elven man of middle years. But on actually meeting the man his love of puns and stupid jokes is quite at odds with his role as High Priest of the God of knowledge. 
Gerey is a faithful servant of the God of Knowledge and an accomplished scholar whose advice has earned him a seat on The Council of Barons.

As Sale is the principal deity of Dorwine this makes Gerey Leyney nominally its head prelate. Although amongst other religious leaders this is just a first amongst equals given the loose nature of The Gods of Dorwine and the relatively secular nature of Dorwine.
