The Rune Lord (as Sale is known) is the principal deity of The Gods of Dorwine. The God of Knowledge is believed to have been the god who passed on the gift of language, and writing to the intelligent species of Dorwine, back at the dawn of time.  He is also the brother of Camua. Sale is depicted as an old man who is normally never seen without at least one book.
