Deehill Goat Fair

The Deehill Goat Fair is an enormous market that occurs on the 5th day of Golddays every year. What began as a livestock sale now brings farmers from all over the Barony of Deehill, and further afield to the city. The fair is centred around the old market in the Market District of Deehill but is so large that other market places are established in different districts of the city (as well as outside the walls in North Citadel Village.   The fair lasts three days, until the end of Golddays and is a place for farmers to trade livestock, sell early harvest crops and for other merchants, traders and travelling entertainers to arrive and make extra money off the gathered visitors. Because there are so many different types of people in the city and many are flush with coin the Goat Fair can get quite raucous and debauched after dark. In fact to such an extent that a shambolic event is often referred to as "a bit of a Deehill Goat fair" throughout Dorwine.
