Castle Truthy

Sitting in the heart of Truthy is the administrative seat of the city, the Barony of Truthy and home of Baron Finellen Fireforge.

Entries

• The main entrance to the keep is on the 2nd floor and is accessible by stairs which travel up the side
• A small, rear-access door was built into the exterior wall. The door may still be in regular use, and no attempt has been made to disguise or conceal it. It may be guarded.

Denizens

• The mood in the castle is dark. Fear of the Black Covenant has everyone suspicious of everyone else. 
• To add to this unease is a local creature squirrel has been seen sitting on windowsills (even those that are, seemingly, inaccessible) or in open doorways, (sometimes, even interior doorways) doing nothing but staring, making unblinking eye contact with any in the room who look at it, never looking away, never moving unless approached. Once approached, it vanishes without a trace, and reappears another day

Alterations

As a result of several arcane attacks the castle is currently in rather poor repair. The Baron is scrambling to find masons to help in its repair.

Architecture

The castle is constructed of locally sourced stone. It’s a large square structure with 5ft thick walls. The keep itself is 4 stories with a cellar. It is surrounded by 2 sets of concentric walls. Each wall is 20ft tall and 15ft thick with towers on each corner.  The whole thing is surrounded by a water filled 20x20ft moat.

In constructing the castle builders uncovered ruins of an ancient dwarven village.
