Languages

Common: When Ako created the Emberi, he gifted them speech, so that they could communicate with one another. As all Emberi are children of Ako, they all share that gift to this very day. This language is called Common.   Unirese: The language of the Joined, people from the Junction. Much like the twin gods Trokair and Zakon, this language was born of the union of two different languages that previously existed and are now considered defunct. This language is efficient, militaristic, and tonally harsh.   Draconic: The language of the dragons, children of Nyoka. She granted her children this gift to make them stand out from the rest of Domhan's races. This language was meant to be spoken by large throats, so it is booming, growling, and contains a lot of rolling consonants.   Novish: The language of the people from Welmenni, whether they are Augmented or not. This language was created to accommodate people living a life of luxury, and so it displays strange quirks, such as words related to food and hobbies being shorter to pronounce than words related to working.   Vatic: The language of the Children of Domhan. Because this language is also spoken by some intelligent beasts, it was created to accommodate all sorts of larynxes and voiceboxes. Thus, to an outside observer, it would sound like a series of growls, grunts, and clicks. It also contains a lot of body language communication.   Melochian: Created by Meloch and spoken by the Gest of Gestrini, this language was built with one clear goal in mind: to be used as a language of love. It contains a lot of flowing syllables, grandiloquent sentences, and overall poetic tones.
