Trokair is the twin of Zakon, and while the two have always been close ever since their inception, they quickly came to a realisation: that without Ako, there can be no peace in Domhan, and thus they should strive to bring it back as quickly as possible.   Trokair is the calmer half of the Twins. An even-handed, merciful Veika, he brings the wisdom to temper Zakon's edge, diplomacy where war would be unneeded, and mercy to those who deserve it. Because of his reputation as a merciful and benevolent god, he is incredibly popular with the common people, and is, perhaps, the most recognisable Veika the world over.   Trokair's ideal is simple: he wishes for Ako to return, so that Ako may bring a new era of progress unto Domhan. In his opinion, this is best achieved by returning the world to the state it was in when Ako last liked it; a peaceful utopia. Therefore, he works together with his sister in order to bring this ideal about, whatever the cost may be.   Out of all the Veikas, Trokair is the one who shows a vested interest in knowing where Ako went. He has contacted Eolas regarding this subject many times, but the god of knowledge has rebuked him each and every time, much to the Even-Handed One's frustration. As a matter of fact, this has caused him to consider talking his sister into sending stronger measures to convince Eolas - but, so far, he has kept his temper and opted to keep attempting diplomatic options.   Though Trokair is merciful, it would be unwise to confuse this with compassion or naivety. Indeed, some of Trokair's judgments can be outright catastrophic for those on the receiving end. However, most are in agreement that those who receive Trokair's wrath have deserved it. This is an especially sensitive subject in Domhan, where death is not a punishment so much as it is a setback.   Trokair is often seen in the various cities of the Junction, not just in Strongvale. There, he takes the form of an incredibly handsome, winged man, carrying scales in one hand and a shield in the other - that Shield being his Gift. It is said that Trokair is such a powerful orator that even one of his whispers can be heard for miles around if he wishes it to be. Those who believe in this theory fear what Trokair shouting might achieve - luckily for them, he has not earned his nickname of the Even-Handed One for nothing.   Worship of Trokair is often done in conjunction with the worship of Ako, as worshippers seek to bring peace to Domhan at large. Trokair's name is also invoked when a judgment must be rendered, especially if it's something that may influence the lives of many people.

Holidays

Those who worship either half of the Twins consider the 13th of Monsoon to be a sacred date, as it marks the creation of the Junction as a whole; a representation of the united dream to bring Ako back unto the world.

Common rituals and gestures

Often, rituals meant to honor Trokair focus on maintaining the careful balance between mercy, peace, and law. For instance, judges who must deliberate on a difficult matter often put their right hand on a book of law marked by Trokair's holy symbol, and their left hand on something that belongs to the affected parties. In this way, they remind themselves that while the law must be followed, one must allow remember the Emberi cost of such decisions.   The common people honor Trokair mostly by their tendency to avoid conflict and show kindness to their kin and peers. Those who worship Trokair are staunch followers of the law, not just its letter, but its spirit as well. They do not hesitate to step in to moderate any conflict they see; in doing so, they approach the situation with their palms turned outwards, as if to forbid the conflict from continuing.

Divine Intercessions

If Trokair had to smite every single person who incites or enjoys war, his work would never be done. Instead, his wrath is reserved for those who commit atrocities in the name of waging war, and his blessings are given freely to those who make efforts to temper their anger and try the diplomatic solution over the wrathful one. His blessings are said to grant powers to calm and focus one's mind, as well as that of others - making their minds sharper, and able to calmly consider even the most dire of situations. Those who incur the wrath of the god of peace find themselves unable to draw their weapons for their sheaths, and some even permanently lose the desire to wage war, even through multiple incarnations.

Aphorisms

Those who worship the god of peace have a plethora of sayings that relate to their function as ambassadors and judges.   Ako's Will, in Trokair manifest: This proverb reminds worshippers that Trokair is the arbiter of Ako's will, and to defy Trokair is to defy the First Being itself.   May Trokair watch over our discussion: This invocation is pronounced whenever important diplomatic negotiations are about to begin. Sometimes, it is used to call for parley in the middle of battle.   Trokair's Shield guards not his body: This subtle warning is there to remind people that one should guard themselves against wrath, and keep calm even in the direst of situations, lest they lose themselves.
