The people from the Junction have the benefit of living under mostly benevolent Veikas, and most have the luxury to know peace in their time. However, war severely wrecks the country, and the Junction has many enemies still. They must strive to survive in this deadly environment, and often rely on other people to do so. Much like the Veikas that created their nation, the Joined find strength in fighting with other people.   Usually, nothing would physically distinguish a Joined from another Emberi, although they do tend to have lighter hair colors on average. However, because the Junction has a proud military tradition, the Joined often mark their bodies in a way that indicates their prowess in battle. They use special inks to tattoo their bodies with elaborate patterns, depicting their greatest military achievements or battles. When they die, these tattoos disappear; whomsoever inherits their Husk will have to prove themselves. This tradition also explains why the tattooed warriors of the Junction are feared all over Domhan. Beware the one whose body is covered in ink, for they have fought a thousand battles and intend to fight a thousand more!
