Dragons (drag-on)

One of the first Veika to ever be created was Nyoka. Due to her enormous size and magnificence, she always harbored thoughts that she stood above the rest of the Veikas - and there were very few that would seek to contest that claim. When Ako isolated itself from the rest of Domhan, she jumped at the chance, and used her powers to create beings that were in her image, but not quite as powerful as her: dragons.
She had failed to take into consideration what creating the entirety of dragonkind would mean (see her entry for more details), but the fact remains that dragons now roam freely in the Holy Dragon Empire, squabbling amongst themselves as they seek to grab more land and power for themselves. Despite their power they are beholden to the same rules as a regular Emberi, especially regarding death.
Dragons are powerful, flying reptiles that come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Two variants are commonly seen in Domhan: the winged dragons, or Drakes, and the serpentine dragons, or Ryu. Though dragons are as varied as the Emberi, the two subtypes typically differ in the way they wish to rule over the Empire. If you asked a Drake, they would call the Ryu arrogant; if you asked a Ryu, they would call the Drakes simple-minded. While the Ryu and the Drakes are often opposed with each other, in-fighting is at least as common as cross-species conflicts.
In Domhan, a dragon's power depends on how many previous incarnations they've had. This causes some of them to be extremely reckless, in order to take the "fast track" to improving their own powers. However, power without experience is worthless, as some are quick to find out. This fact has caused the creation of a massive "graveyard" known as the Necropolis of the Thousand Dragons.
