Ryu (ree-you)

Ryu (singular: Ryu) are a subtype of dragons. They do not have wings, and often only have two arms. Despite their lack of wings, they can still fly through the air, slithering through it as if it were water. They come in a variety of colors.
Since Nyoka was also known to be a Ryu, the Ryu of modern times use that fact to lord over the other dragons and the Dragonkin. While it would be fool-hardy to establish a psychological profile for a race as varied as the Ryu, they typically believe themselves to be worthy of leading the Holy Dragon Empire by holy right. They are usually more religious than their Drake cousins as a result, using their proximity to Nyoka as justification for all sorts of wars and conflicts.
