Moon Mead

"On a moon filled night like tonight, you'd best have one more for the road.  Don't worry, it'll keep the werewolves away."
— Bartender in Timberwood
Moon Mead is sometimes called Night Mead or Silver Mead depending upon the establishment.  This alcoholic beverage is made from Silver Honey produced by the Moon Bees who feed on the nectar of the Moonflowers. It is said that the special silver running through all three of them gives this drink certain unusual health properties. Although slight variations do exist, all exhibit a clean, clear, silvery colored liquid.  When held up to the moonlight a slight glow can be seen coming from the mead itself.

Manufacturing process

Moon Mead is made by a simple process of the fermentation of Silver Honey.  Although several varieties can be made by adding different kinds of spices or fruits, they all have the same alcoholic base from the special honey that is used.

Significance

Although it is a great, yet expensive drink, it can often serve another purpose.  Upon first drinking the beverage, a minimal amount of health is instantly restored, the senses are alert, and all fatigue is removed.  Daily consumption for a week will also cure most minor colds and sicknesses.  All benefits are lost and the fatigue returns if a second mead is drunk in the same evening.  For these reasons most people who plan to order a Moon Mead, do so at the end of their evening and not the beginning.
Item type
Consumable, Food / Drink
Rarity
This drink is rare in most parts of the world.  The exceptions would be places that have many fields of Moonflowers and several colonies of Moon Bees so that the Silver Honey can be harvested and turned into Moon Mead.
Raw materials & Components
All that is really need to to create this mead is Silver Honey, water, yeast, and several containers.  Fruits, spices, grains, or hops can also be added but are not required.
Related Materials
"They say its because the alcohol kills the germs, but I'm thinking it's because of the silver infusion traced back to the Moonflowers."
— Eldri Ento, gnome expert on insects

Thank you very much. I like to interweave articles when I can. One idea quickly branches into others. I'm just not fast enough to get them all written down sometimes. lol. Thanks again.
