Sergei Von Zarovich
Sergei is Strahd's younger brother. Per the Court of Ravenloft he was known for his handsome appearance and silver tongue. Sergei would not inherit any holdings as Strahd would be first in succession. Instead he pursued his love of art and music. Per the Court of Ravenloft Sergei was ambushed by Terg assassins and killed on the eve of his wedding to Tatyana. In his honor Strahd von Zarovich built him a sepcial crypt in Ravenloft Castle and learned to play the organ as tribute to his brother's passion for music.
Initially the party has no other concrete information on Sergei aside from the information within the Court of Ravenloft text. Aside from the book some implications of the relationship had been made by various people whom the party has interacted.
While using the Tome of Strahd the party bore witness to Sergei's arrival in Barovia. Strahd ceremonially greeted him within the throne room of the castle and held a martial demonstration in his honor. The party fulfilled the roles of the original Court of Ravenloft. When Strahd's team appeared to be on the verge of winning Sergei challenged Strahd to one v one combat. Strahd prevailed, just barely, and seemed discomforted by his brothers youth and vigor.
