Church of the Morninglord
Barovians have deep-rooted religious beliefs and superstitions that they pass down from one generation to the next:
Two divine forces watch over the Barovian people: the Morninglord and Mother Night.
Barovians believe the Morninglord watches over the Barovian people from sunrise until sundown. Now, the sun has not shone unobscured for centuries, and Barovians still cling to this even though the Morninglord no longer answers their prayers.
Most or all Barovian commoners who believe in the Morninglord complete daily prayers and collect various effigies and rosaries which they consistently fret over believing this will help protect them against the evils of the land.
The religous leaders of the Morninglord have proven to have magical prowess. The party witnessed Father Donovich use low level healing spells. He was also able to purify the poisoned well in village of Barovia.
Father Donovich in Village of Barovia informed the party that not all Barovians have souls. Souless Barovians proceed through their normal life, but are especially dour and listless.
Known places of worship:
Church in Village Barovia. Currently does not have leadership.
Church of Saint Andral. Currently run by Father Lucian Petrovich
Abby of Saint Markova - The party has little information about this other than it is located in Krezk. They have heard about a powerful Abbot who has been able to perform powerful magic.
The party witnessed two morninglord ceremonies in their time in Barovia:
A sermon at the church in village barovia. Characters with a background in religon notices parallels to Lathander a common diety widely followed in the Sword Coast of Faerune.
The second ceremony was assisting in the last rites for Indirovich Kolyonovich as the behest of Ireena before she was willing to leave Village Barovia for safety.
Structure
The abbot in Krezk is the largest and primary religous settlement in Barovia dedicated to Saint Markovia. The second largest is the Church of Saint Andral in Vallaki dedicated to Saint Andrail.

Tenets of Faith
The Morninglord watches over Barovia during the day and protects. The Mother Night takes over during the night and seeks to destroy. Barovians fret over relgious iconography to the Morninglord which they believes protect them during the night and gets them to the new sunrise.

Fathers of the faith are trained at the Abby at Krezk and tend to their flocks at other Barovian settlements.
