Morlgan Hoof
A herbivore hoofed mammal with a thick coat. Often found in mountains, they are found grazing on winter grasses and bark from trees.
Once thought to be a relation to the Nirlelen Claw, there's still research proving otherwise. They have a similar and unusual tail style, and connected ears to their short antlers.
Their bodies are covered in thick fur, with their legs having short but thick fur, able to move faster than a fully furred body. While antlers are apparent in both male and female monsters, they are made of a soft keratin, and snap and break rather easily. For those with enough time, there have been reports of growing and shaping antlers for a decorative purpose. They rarely use them in combat or play, only in dire situations.
They have a bleating that is almost a bark, and sounds similar to their own natural predators.
They get their name from their long snout with rather pointed teeth, giving them the appearance of a predator, but even supplied with live prey, they show no interest and always head for the herbivore option.
They have been known to eat thin strips of dried plant seasoned meat in captivity.
A new development, they have a skittish demeanor, but have recentally been trained for Mailhands in mountainous areas. Reports of the Morlgan running away with important mail and documents has had a strong distaste for many regions to reject adding them to the Godsear's ranches.
Being seen working with a Morlgan Hoof is seen as a higher rank, or at the very least, more tolerant and caring of appearance than practicality.
"My favorite morlgan hoof I had had a beautiful curved antler that I was able to get to connect, it was the most perfect circle in nature you'd ever see. Shame it ran away. Doubt those other hooves appreciated the time put into it." "Cursed, that's what I have been. All the Morlgan Hooves run away, just as I think they start to get comfortable and after putting so much time in their appearance. They only one I still have can't grow antlers worth shit. Little nubs. When he brushes them agaisnt my back it does always seem to scratch an itch though. He's not so bad I suppose." -two wealthier Mailhands
