Xixuegui Refugee Influx

Due to the repression of Mages, particularly Wyches in Xixuegui (see Derleing in Xixuegui ), a large exodus out of the country began. The Mages left first, half fleeing to the states that surrounded Xixuegui, and the other half fleeing across the Lurur Ocean onto Diyu (the continent, not the world name).

While the repression fo Mages began the refugee exodus, the general downturn fo the empire inspired more than just mages to flee. Those fleeing across the ocean either wound up being absorbed into the kingdoms north of the High Peaks of Zhattar, or in the absolute worst place to be, the Empire of Laran, south of the High Peaks. Those that stayed in the empire, excepting those on the coasts, which were far less xenophobic, were either enslaved or killed. Those that moved through wound up in the area that is now the Akroni Confederacy.

The main exception to the fates of those who stayed in laran were those who landed on the Kuptii Archipelago, who were integrated into the Kingdom of Qea Lwbwd, and who gave it its common name today, the Kuptii Refuge, probably fared the best of any refugee who fled east.
