Tunguska

/*Emmett*/

/*Piper*/

Tunguska is a U.S. American Rogue and current leader of The Crew, a superpowered-run street gang in Cape St. Joan.   Equipped with extremely destructive powers, he is one of the city's few rogues with outstanding warrants for incarceration in either West or North Branch due to numerous cases of high collateral and person damage occuring during the use of his powers.

Physical Description

Special abilities

Tunguska has the ability to control birds of all kinds to do his bidding. However, exposure to this power makes the birds explode and combust violently after a given time. By limited or turning up his power, Tunguska can influence this timeframe and thereby weaponise all avian creatures around him. His power has significant range and so far no known limits to the number of birds controlled at any given time.

Apparel & Accessories

Tunguska's costume consists of a cage-like set of armour that distributes the force of incoming impacts all over his body. His mask is pitch black and has no visible facial features other than the vague shape of a head.   He is never seen without at least one bird on his shoulder as his last personal line of defense.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

First sighted in 1992, Tunguska was a member of The Crew from his first day as a rogue. Theories suggest he might already have been a member (or associated with one) by the time he discovered his superpowers.   In 2001, he took over the gang and became its new leader. He has lead them ever since.   In 2013, he caused a split in the group due to an argument with his second-in-command, Soma.   He participated in the truce and hunt for Jane Doe during "D-Day" in 2018.

Volume 1: Balance

In 2023, following multiple attacks by vigilante group Disequilibria on The Crew's operations, he declared 'war' on them following the Battle in Wallace Street. Certain of victory, he challenged the vigilantes to an open battle in an agreed upon location and was subsequently defeated alongside his allies during the Battle in the Docks.   Shortly after the fight, he taunted Vandal and provoked her into wounding him after his capture, trying to sour relationships between Disequilibria and the Sanctioned supers of the city. Vandal responded by ripping out his arm, which was later reattached by Astraues, though the entire extent of the damage could not be undone.   He was subsequently arrested and awaits trial for a sentence to lifelong imprisonment in either West Branch or North Branch.
