Battle of south Stormsea
What, why are they wearing our uniforms?
During the War of Misunderstanding the Venirans were known to hire privateers to fight the naval battles for them, due to their lack of military vessels and naval expertise.
One day the Xalnan vessel Seahawk was travelling near the Stormsea when they spotted the vessel Seaspear. However, due to the poor conditions they misstook the sail configuration for the one used by privateers, so they set off in persuit.
The Seaspear noticed their persuers 20 minutes later. This delay was caused by the fact that there was no crew in the rigging. This in turn was caused by multiple problems that they had to deal with, including a leak, multiple injuries and a sail that had come loose and was dragging in the sea.
The Seaspear had barely managed to cut the sail loose when they noticed the other vessel approaching on an approach to ram. At first they thought it was a hostile ship, then they noticed the flag, and finally they realised that they were in trubble as the Seahawk rammed the Seaspear, causing massive damage.
A few seconds later the crew of the Seaspear became aware of what they had done and tried to rescue as many as they could, but even so, about five sixths of the Seahawks crew was lost in the waves.
The Seahawk returned to port where the Captain and crew were charged with being traitors. Due to the conditions it was determined that there had just been a reckless attack, causing the entire crew to be dismissed from the navy.

The weather was poor, with visibility between bad and nonexistant, depending on if the ship was on a wave crest or not.
