Noreia
Capital of Teufeland, Noreia was originally built as a refuge for Tieflings, who fled oppression in the human realms.
Noreia has grown up rapidly thanks to the trade route between The Free City of Cyme and Actum. While many in Tiefling society have capitalized on this and lead the booming merchant class, many of the common folk are resentful and suspicious of the influx of other races.
The Noreia Temple of Sune and the Noreia Temple of Tymora have been cultural hubs in the city from the start. Waukeen has been gaining in popularity, and small shrines can be found around the city.
Demographics
Primarily populated by Tieflings, Noreia is home to an increasing number of humans and gnomes, along with some of the more adventurous halflings.
Industry & Trade
Ever since the founding of The Free City of Cyme, trade between the Gnomes and the Humans has continued to increase, and Noreia has found itself along the main trade route. Merchants and travelers are common here, as well as taverns and inns to serve them.
The docks quarter is home to a large fish market, and the surrounding grasslands are ideal for cattle farming.
Architecture
The oldest buildings in the Docks Quarter and The Song are made of wood from the nearby forests. As wealth has flowed in on the trade route and the city has grown, many of the newer buildings (especially the villas of East Road) and the city wall have been built out of either stone from the nearby mountains, or imported Dwarven stone.
