10th Legion Ambush

Having fought their first battle in a sector adjacent to the Blood Angels, Godzimir Ursaak was disturbed to hear reports of a Word Bearer officer using psychic powers and leading warp corrupted troops.
  He had his Librarian divine the next location that the Word Bearers would strike and set his trap.
  The traitors found themselves advancing into prepared positions, bolstered by sisters of silence and an Imperial assassin, and quickly were bogged down. The esoterist tried to break the lines by summoning monstrous daemons, but the Iron Hands' experience against the warp fuelled tactics of perfidious Eldaaaar held strong, and the brutes were gunned down before the Librarian exorcised the final one.
  Godzimir teleported into the rear lines to catch the psykers, but failed to charge as a stray phosphex bomb blocked his path. The Word Bearers command unit gained strength from a dark pact, and were able to destroy his retinue. Luckily, Ursaak took all the punches on his already destroyed face, and was able to teleport out, though he was now left with a terrible rage.
  The Word Bearers slunk away, planning to bolster their ranks with ever fouler monstrosities. The Warlord gaining great speed, as his gods favoured him to run and charge.
