All Word Bearers know what lies beyond the Veil, the raging turmoil beyond a mortal's comprehension, full of promises of grandeur if only they could bring them forth.
Captain Apophis dared to call down that power for himself to wield the warp against his foes, but was cast from his body for his folly, to forever be tormented. Now, as this advance force from the Word Bearers come to strike at Semita IV, Zarrok walks in his place, with a goal to bring forth more of his brethren.

Kurtha Quroth, Martyr of the Storm Assault. His sacrifice is remembered for his bravery in facing down the fusilade of fire of a blood angel's deredeo to allow the rest of his squad to break through.
Thulo Vhanalis, Veteran of the 23rd Company, martyred himself to protect the chain of command, taking an entire volley from a hostile deredeo to protect Zarrok.
