Xosuyel Vold Monastery

Xosuyel Vold Monastery (Few Trees Monastery) is the only monastery of the secretive Gasyendithites. It is located in a high mountain valley surrounded by enormous, snow-capped, glacial peaks of the Great Eastern Mountains in northeastern Senyon.

Purpose / Function

Xosuyel Vold Monastery is where the leaders of the Gasyendithites reside; though, the Gasyedithites do not really have a formal leadership structure or organization. The Gasyendithites also have a martial arts school at Xosuyel Vold Monastery. The Gasyendithite monks often take in orphans and unwanted babies, raising them and training them in martial arts and the Gasyendithite philosophy of peace and serenity.

Architecture

Xosuyel Vold Monastery is constructed with red brick walls and gray slate roofs with prominent ridges. There are many smaller buildings behind a large main building with a courtyard in the middle with high walls joining them. The buildings are built on terraces on the banks of a small, cold river fed by snow and glacier melt from the mountains above the valley where the monastery is located. The walls of the buildings are thick and vertical, and the windows are high above the ground, so climbing the walls to enter the monastery would be quite difficult. On the banks of the river is a white gatehouse building that is the main entrance to the monastery.

Defenses

Xosuyel Vold Monastery has no defenses other than the high, thick walls of its buildings and the Gasyendithite monks that live there, most of whom are highly skilled martial artists.
