Queen Tatsu Tachibana Larssen is the wife of King Einar Tachibana Larssen. She is extremely beautiful and elegant, calm and soft-spoken. She is very supportive of the king; however, Princess Masako Tachibana Larssen, the king's younger sister, is jealous of her, and the two are often in conflict dues to the princess' immaturity and jealousy.
Queen Tatsu is a loving, but firm mother. She is well aware that many members of the Royal Family of the Kingdom of Sudland were not in favor of her marriage to the king, and so she is protective of her children and determined that no one looks down on them. This leads her to demand that her children rigidly follow societal and royal rules of etiquette. Breaches of etiquette by her children are not tolerated and are punished, but not cruelly. Queen Tatsu will express her displeasure with royal tutors and servants that fail to teach and model those rules, and she has punished severe breaches with caning and dismissal from duties. Her demands regarding obedience to rules of etiquette have caused conflicts with Princess Ingrid Tachibana Larssen, and as the princess is growing closer to her teen years, the conflicts have been more frequent and have become more severe.
Queen Tatsu's best friend since childhood, and her closest advisor, is her cousin, Baroness Anne Tachibana Meiling.
