The Iron Insurrection

The Conflict

Prelude

With the recent formation of the Iron Steeple as a legal building used to judge, sentence and hold criminals, many crooks and legal anarchists took notice and developed a personal animosity towards the organization.

Deployment

The attackers of the Iron Steeple, who began calling themselves the Iron Insurgents, gathered a group of fighters to mount and attack the Steeple.

Battlefield

Due to sheer numbers, the casually placed guard was easily overwhelmed by the gang of criminals and many lives were lost and prisoners escaped.

Conditions

The invasion of the Steeple was planned in secret and on the day of the insurrection the legal organization was caught completely unawares. The fighters quickly assassinated the guards posted outside the building and rushed into the halls, killing or incapacitating anyone in site. Quickly passing through the under protected upper layers, the infiltrators were able to enter and release many of the prisoners kept in the cells underground before reinforcements arrived to drive them out.

The Engagement

After the initial overwhelming attack on the Steeple, guard reinforcements were quickly called in. However, a force strong enough did not arrive until after many of the prisoners had been released. The additional aids were then able to follow the invaders into the underground levels of the Steeple and harry them until the remaining attackers retreated and escaped.

Outcome

The Iron Steeple was forced to temporarily cease all normal procedures while the leaders of the Steeple reevaluated the plan of operations to hopefully reduce the likelihood that a rebellion would happen again. Due to the heavy casualties of guards, new guards had to be trained and hired, as well. Local crime rates increased again as a result of the high number of escaped criminals.

Aftermath

The Steeple chose to not only vastly increase their securities in terms of guard numbers and levels of defenses, but also formed the Silent Saber to add an extra layer of protection for the building and those who reside there.
