With their ethereal beauty and long-lived existence, the Elves embody a grace and wisdom that transcends mortal races.

Overview

Anatomy & Morphology

Elves possess an otherworldly beauty and elegance that captivates the imagination. They are usually tall and slender, with lithe frames that hint at their agility and grace. Their almond-shaped eyes come in a variety of colors, ranging from vibrant greens and blues to deep browns and purples.   Elves possess pointed ears, a defining feature that sets them apart from other races. These elongated ears symbolize their keen senses and attunement to the world around them. Their skin tones range from fair to a subtle, natural hue, often reflecting the environments in which they dwell.   Though they are physically similar to humans, Elves possess a timeless quality that extends their lifespan far beyond that of most mortal races. They age slowly, and some Elves can live for centuries, accumulating knowledge and wisdom over the ages.

Geographic Origin & Distribution

Elves can be found in every corner of the world. They are one of the most spread out of the races but most can map their lineage back to the middle of the continent of Ankroth. The country of Dreistan is where most Elf families originated and they still are the vast majority of the population there.   Elven communities can be found in the heart of ancient forests, hidden within serene glades, or tucked away in secluded valleys. They have a deep affinity for nature and often build their settlements in harmony with their surroundings, incorporating elements of the natural world into their architecture and designs.

Culture & Cultural Heritage

Elven culture is deeply rooted in a reverence for nature, a love for beauty, and an appreciation for the arcane arts. Elves hold a profound respect for the balance of the natural world and strive to live in harmony with it. They often adopt druidic or ranger traditions, becoming stewards of the land and protectors of its creatures.   Magic flows through the veins of Elves, and many pursue the study of arcane arts. They excel in wizardry, sorcery, and the mastery of ancient rituals.   Ancestors hold a vital place in Elven culture. They honor the memories and wisdom of their forebears, maintaining ancestral shrines and conducting rituals to pay homage to those who came before. The preservation of ancestral traditions and knowledge is paramount, ensuring the wisdom of past generations is not lost.
