A small Lizard-like who was abandoned by his pack due to his obsessive interest in artificial magic.
He developed an interest in magic, magical technology and artificially harnessing magic. This interest led him to repeatedly stealing parts from his own pack to conduct his experiments. This resulted in him being kicked out of his pack's nest.
After that he lived for about two months in an abandoned house outside of Woodford, creating local rumors of a monster among the townsfolk. This is where and how he met Dust as Dust was tasked to investigate in the case.
At first his inventions were ambitious but not very successful. Growing increasingly frustated, he tried creating a battery for arcane energy. This battery would proof too unstable, knocking Zig out when the energy erupted.
While in delirium, he encountered a being that introduced itself as a muse and patron of technology, The Artificial. It offered him help in developing his ideas, if he would spread his inventions and with that the knowledge of artificial magic.
