The doctrine of the cult of sacrifice is a path to pay of one’s sins (debt) to society at large. Its members have their magical abilities artificially enhanced in by a cruel and painful ritual that shorten their lifespan to that of only a handful years.
After that they will only be property of, they orzhov and used as magical batteries for ritualists magic in the many shrines, churches and cathedrals. Its is also one of the orzhov strongest weapons.
As only they know the ritual and with a big enough sacrifice, they magic the orzhov can perform is only theoretical speculated, But the ghost council have proclaimed that if the prize is payed it can unleash magic to shatter the plane itself.
