Personal history

William Tanner is a well known and generally well liked teen that lives within the Thornwall Gate in Highport with his parents and helps in the running and maintenance of the The Champions Ring with his parents.
He recently came into possession of a treasure map of sorts and went on an adventure to a ruined fortress some day and a half north of Highport.  There he did some exploring and came back with a trophy - a fine looking axe, although he lacked the confidence to explore the ruins in more than a cursory fashion.
When he returned to Highport he soon discovered that the axe he had taken was cursed and the weapon itself sent him into a berserk rage when guards at the Thornwall Gate entrance tried to take it from him to peace bond it.  Fortunately, Will was stopped from hurting anybody and was able to return home unharmed himself.

Employment

Employed at the The Champions Ring where both his parents work, Will does mostly menial work around the ring but is training in maintenance and repair of both the structure and the equipment.

Mental Trauma

Will remains shaken by his experience with the berserker axe and his attack on the guards.  Only time will tell how much the event has affected him.

Motivation

Dreams of adventuring, but is rather cautious and a touch cowardly. His recent mini-adventure has not helped, although he does think back to the thrill of it on occasion.
