Human
In the reckonings of most worlds, and the world where Deadmouth Island is found is no different, humans are considered the youngest of the common races, late to arrive on the world scene and short-lived in comparison to dwarves, elves, and dragons. Perhaps it is because of their shorter lives that they strive to achieve as much as they can in the years they are given. Or maybe they feel they have something to prove to the elder races, and that's why they build their empires on the foundation of conquest and trade. Whatever drives them, humans are the innovators, the achievers, and the pioneers of the worlds. Wherever they appear change is swift and decisive, leading to inevitable conflict with the longer lived races, but also setting a high mark for innovation in all fields. More diverse than the other races, they are also the most accepting of the other races. Where humans settle, outliers from the other races can find a welcoming home, to a point, and the diversity allows human settlements to continually grow and thrive where elf and dwarf settlements have withered.
