Yugoloths

They spawned out of Place-holder, as a manifestation of Utuna's will and essence. Each yugoloth has a true name that can be used to control them if you know it. If killed anywhere other than Place-holder, they reform in Place-holder, their home plane.
Many work as mercenaries that ply their trade throughout the Planes. Yugoloths have a reputation for effectiveness that is matched only by their desire for ever more wealth. Although yugoloths aren't especially loyal and typically try to exploit every potential loophole in a contract, they undertake any task for which they are hired, no matter how despicable.
Yugoloths are unusual in that they can wander even into the Abyss without fear of its' corrupting influence, so long as they avoid braving some of the worse sources of corruption without protection.
