Nill
A small, walled town in Voskionia, near the border with Gwardonna.
The village has 5 noble houses. The peace is kept by 8 guardsmen, and there is 1 advocate to assist with legal matters. For those more concerned about their soul, there are 15 clergymen and 1 priest.
225 people in this town are level 1-3, 112 people in the town are level 4-6, 18 are level 7-9, and 5 are over level 9. The rest have no class levels.
Demographics
The population consists almost entirely of Alasians, with few, if any, nonhumans.
Government
The lord, Lord Twynam, lives in the castle. There are several noble families that live within the town of Nill, as well, along the road from the nearest gate to the castle. Law and order is kept by the Town Watch, led by Watchmaster Villetta Bradly.
Defences
The city is walled, with at least three layers of gates at each entrance. Nowadays, these gates generally stand open, with minimal guard presence.
Industry & Trade
Hunting and farming provide most of the food for the people of Nill. They also export resources gathered by hunting and farming, such as food, leather, medicinal and magical components (e.g. bat guano from nearby caves), and so forth. There is also an organized drug trade in Nill, run by Simonette Ashton, trading psychedelic mushrooms from the forest and drug-containing herbs farmed in secret.
Infrastructure
The heart of Nill is the marketplace and temple, side by side.
The Temple of Nill is dedicated to Areainra, although clerics of dieties with friendly relations with her are also welcome. Healing and protection services can be obtained there, for a price, and they also have infrastructure for teleportation magic--a teleportation circle as well as several trees of suitable size for tree stride. For a fee, you can hire a cleric to teleport you to another temple of Areainra.
The marketplace is an open area surrounded by shops and usually filled with booths and carts selling wares. In addition, on the three roads heading from gates to the marketplace, there are inns that provide lodging for travellers. The temple also provides lodging for travellers, too.
