Tenets of Devotion
Though the exact words and strictures of the Oath of Devotion vary, paladins of this oath share these tenets. Honesty. Don't lie or cheat. Let your word be your promise.Courage. Never fear to act, though caution is wise.
Compassion. Aid others, protect the weak, and punish those who threaten them. Show mercy to your foes, but temper it with wisdom.
Honour. Treat others with fairness, and let your honorable deeds be an example to them. Do as much good as possible while causing the least amount of harm.
Duty. Be responsible for your actions and their consequences, protect those entrusted to your care, and obey those who have just authority over you.
Tenets of Torm
Salvation may be found through service. Every failure of duty diminishes Torm and every success adds to his luster.Strive to maintain law and order.Obey your masters with alert judgement and anticipation.
Stand ever alert against corruption. Strike quickly and forcefully against rot in hearts of mortals. Bring painful, quick death to traitors.
Question unjust laws by suggesting improvement or alternatives, not additional laws.
Your fourfold duties are to faith, family, masters, and all good beings of Faerûn.
Tenets of the Gauntlet
Faith is my most potent weapon against evil.Great challenges require both strength and valor.
It is justified to punish an act of evil, but not a thought or feeling.
The Penance of Duty is as follows:
Debt of Persecution: To repay their persecution of other religions, the truly faithful must aid other goodly religions in reestablishing themselves.Debt of Dereliction: To atone for their abdication of duty to guard against strife, the Tormish must expend all possible effort to eliminate any surviving cults of Bane, as well as to oppose all efforts of Cyricists, and the Zhentarim.
Debt of Destruction: Followers of Torm are obliged to relieve the destruction to the magic weave incurred during the Time of Troubles. All dead magic areas are to be reported and repaired. In addition, all permanent results of the magical chaos of the Time of Troubles are to be similarly undone and all wild magic areas reported and eradicated.
Letters
Alcor and Annie have been exchanging letters to each other over the course of the months Alcor has stayed in Icewind Dale.Steed
Alcor is known to ride a large destrier mare named Peregrine. Currently Peregrine is stabled in Easthaven's tannery. Peregrine is known to be a gentle giant, aloof in comparison to Chimera's challenging personality. Peregrine is of true Neverwinter stock, bred and raised by the Sedgewinter House. Content to be in her own little world, she often seems independent of both people and horses. She may have a delayed or dull reaction to stimulus or aids and is usually more tolerant than welcoming of intrusion into his personal space. Peregrine's favourite snacks are snow peas.Relationships
History
Alcor and Annie have always been close. Alcor tends to be quite protective of his younger sister, and in turn, Annie sees Alcor as a role model and almost the perfect brother who can do no wrong.
History
Adrian Sedgewinter seems to have forgotten about the existence of his son, Alcor. When he did still remember him, Alcor's choice to step away from the family as an heir and pursue a career in the Order of the Gauntlet has soured their relationship.
History
Isobel seems to have forgotten about the existence of her son, Alcor.
History
Miryam is not the first Corentin to marry into the Sedgewinter House, as her great-aunt Magdel Corentin is the mother of Adrian Sedgewinter's cousin, Anabelle. The betrothal has been arranged when they were both sixteen, but has fallen through cracks when Alcor has chosen to spend less and less time at the family's estate and instead roams around Faerûn in search of adventure. It is unclear whether she remembers Alcor as of 1489.
History
Mizar and Alcor met during a training session in Neverwinter, and quickly became fast friends. Together, they are the founding members of the Knights of Polaris. They're hardly ever seen without one another, often referred to as the twin stars by other members of the faction.
