The Rise of the Elder Dragons

23300ASD

Draugonir's brood hatches. The Elder Dragons name the Eastern continent Telamoth, "Home" in Draconic, and claim it their own. They divide it between them.

After centuries, the colourful clutch of Draugonir's eggs finally hatched. The Elder Dragons were immensely powerful from the day they were born. They looked very much like their father, long lithe bodies, majestic heads with bright eyes, wide mouths and wicked fangs. Their legs were short for their bodies and their talons sharp and deadly. The powers they wielded varied as did their colours and personalities.   The first one to escape the confines of his shell, was Atramentos, the black Elder Dragon. He was the most similar to his father Draugonir and after a while he settled in the Iron Mawl. He loved the heat of the smithy, his passion was to create and invent new weapons and machines of war.   The second Elder Dragon to emerge was Aurona, as golden as the rising sun. She flew far to the South and settled in the Flaming Mountains. She loved everything beautiful and precious. She left the Hathor, the tribe who lived in the Flaming Desert, more or less alone, only expecting tribute in the form of artefacts, gems, precious metals and pieces of art.   Virida hatched next. She also flew South, however, she was very interested in the affairs of the creatures and tribes living in her territory. The Gnomes, her father's creation, especially, were under her protection. But she always tried to rule fairly and protected and advised most tribes, living in the Southern jungles, whether it was Humans, Gnomes, Lizard Folk or any other species.   Later, during the War of the Dragons, she created the Winged Snakes, which are rumoured to live in the deep recesses of the Southern Jungle to this day.   Rostomir, the Red, as he liked to be called, flew north to the Icy Plaines. He loved roaming the stormy sea and fighting with sea monsters and ever other creature, he saw as a challenge. Later he was worshipped by the Orcs, who loved his wild, warrior nature.   Azura settled South of the Icy Plaines, in the Blue Mountains, between the North March and a fertile land of rolling hills and meandering rivers, that would later be named after her, Azuria. She would create the Lakelings, who would live in the lakes, rivers, streams and brooks of the Northern Marches.   Arganon was the last of the Elder Dragon to hatch. His scales were shimmering silver. He looked a lot like Vaeloth, but was said to be of a merry disposition, not really interested in territory or ruling. He claimed the wooded area, between the Western Mawl and the Eastern Sea, and the Purple Hills, that stretched down to Lake Magno. He never created his own tribe, but he was interested in Humans and supported their settlements in his territory.
