Cuddly Cuddy

The Cuddly Cuddy is a small tavern at one of the busiest intersections in Thirty Keys. It is one of the several shop fronts at the base of the clay and mortar shanty high rises. The intersection is extremely busy due to its naturally connection different portions of the keys. As such, the side streets are packed day and night with people, vendor stalls, and any other busy activity from the locals.   The small tavern has gained much of its fame due to the proprietary brew that the locals call the "Telmatran Gold." This special ale uses a secret recipe of Telmatran spices to produce a rich malty brown ale that creates a golden foam - a byproduct of the pressurized barrels it is stored in.

Architecture

The entrance to the Cuddy is a wide clay arch that is doorless and always open to patrons.  The inside smells of spices, fresh grilled food, and the distinct scent of the signature ale.  The few tables that are inside the tavern are packed tightly together in the center portions of the room, for the outer edges of the tavern are standing bars baked right into the clay foundation where patrons are to stand and enjoy their company and victuals.  Beautiful colorful silks are draped from the roof and near the dozen arched windows that look out into the busy streets of the Keys.  The bar itself is situated in the center of the room up against one of the most prominent walls.  There is a small stage in the back corner where musicians and entertainers are almost always performing.  On any given evening the pub will be packed to the brim.

History

The Cuddly Cuddy was originally opened by Jhokri U-bazzi, or Jhokri Lotqur (a more westernized name meaning Brewer) as he publicized himself. It was run for over a decade by Jhokri until his passing nearly 5 years ago. Since then, the ownership has fallen to his daughter Mariq Lotqur who has maintained the reputation and clientele that her father spent so many years building.
