Once thought to have been a simple immigrant from Eastern Europe with a great deal of disposable income, her name was once associated with the impressive soirees and grand balls she threw at her plantation house in Virginia.

Eventually it was revealed that she was actually a High Vampire . She then became famous for being the perpetrator of the assassination of Lincoln (It's commonly accepted that John Wilkes Booth was thralled to her, though that is technically impossible to prove) and being the head of a massive network of High Vampires within the United States.
