Raymond Elias Devore (a.k.a. Dog Ear)

Description

Ray looks like he crawled out of a crypt and forgot to die. Gaunt and leathery, with one milky eye and an ear chewed down to cartilage, he wears a shapeless brown coat stitched with talismans, bones, and rusted buttons. His breath rattles from the single lung he’s got left, but don’t mistake that wheeze for weakness—his mind is a trap, and his words are bait. He moves slow but deliberate, like someone always counting his steps against the grave.

Personality

Ray is a relic of alley wars and blood oaths, and he treats every interaction like a transaction with fate. He speaks in riddles, bargains, and warnings—rarely straight, always with purpose. He believes in signs, curses, and the weight of names, and no one makes a move in the Bonepickers without him whispering some omen behind it. He’s not warm, but his crew respects him like a haunted altar—half leader, half legend.
