The population of Cobbleston is
Until recently, the town would have been 99% Boggart. A recent influx of people, especially Fomorians, came from troubled lands to the east seeking refuge and a way to make a living. Many people from the Court of Night's army returned to live here after the battle at Nemeton dispersed.
History
A historic mining outpost in Unseelie Court territory was an uninteresting place were little happened for generations.
Problems began to arise when political tension made the east less habitable and the formerly Boggart town began to get an influx of travvelers looking to settle into a new safer place. These people, mostly Fomorians, immediately began to cause problems as they all appeared to be extremely rude and agressive.
The heroes of Danu first came to intercept this conflict and discovered that the trolls were in fact only being mean as they were coerced by and agent of The Miserable Few, Lawrence Osteo. Lawrence was a monk chiropractor who prayed on the sore backs of the trolls (as all of the tunnels were dug for the size of boggarts leading them to constantly bend over) and used his power to change "their alignment". The heroes ran him out of town and Cobbleston began to slowly heal the social wounds.
The heroes returned not long after, called by a rich family to uncover the mystery of their daughter and their mine that was being haunted. It turned out their daughter and a competing family's son had had a relationship and they had both died under unfortunate circumstances, resulting in a wraith and a revenant that were confused. The heroes laid both spirits to rest.
The heroes once again returned for another problem of people going missing in the night. This time it turned out to be a creation of Whimsy, the Dirtman, who was taking sleeping people.
A new era of Cobbleston came to light as an army from Stalactic came to the surface through on of their mines and lay siege to the town. Their only ask was to take the mayor out of power and run the government for an interim before they could instate a new leadership model that would empower the workers. The city could not out the mayor who locked himself into his guarded tower, and had begun to go hungry as their trade routes were closed.
After the heroes of Danu and the army outed former mayor Hector Windebald, the heroes convinced the army that instead of one of their Darklings taking over to instate a new governing system for the town, a combination of a darkling and Gerald Igny would form an interim committee to set up a fair election and governing structure. They decided on a council of representatives elected from each of the mines who would be chaired by a generally elected mayor. Gerald won this election by a landslide vote even though he did not actively run.
The town now stands in a new uneasy era of peace as the townsfolk try to form a new community with the folk from the Court of Night who decided to stay.
