Nostrae Tenebras

Nostrae Tenebras is a common religion found within many areas of The Dark. The religion follows the idea of Darkness being a spiritual force, and to accept it into your life rather than constantly trying to ward it away. Most groups of Nostrae Tenebras do not oppose light in any way, with only radical sects abiding by that belief. Most of these radical sects do break down relatively soon after conception, as most members tend to succumb to a Nailux Transformation and further into Abominations.
Tenebrae often end up as Nailux Ghouls due to exposure to darkness, so the religion itself is often looked down upon or painted in a bad light. This has garnered mixed attention from the remnants of the Hunters of the Dark as it is easy for them to both agree with some of the ideas found within Nostrae Tenebras, and vilify them for them amount of Nailux Ghouls amongst the faith, and the historical encouragement of being a Nailux Ghoul.

Divine Origins

Nostrae Tenebras as a named religion is relatively recent history, spanning back only several hundred years. However, the idea of the dark being a spiritual force is not a new one, and there has been documented evidence of worshippers of a similar nature dating far further back.

Tenets of Faith

• To accept that the darkness is within, and without. To find peace within yourself, you must make peace with that which is around you.

• To others the dark is a curse, but to find true enlightenment we must look towards the shadows. To us, we see it as a blessing, that which transforms us to suit its nature.
