Locksport
Demographics
40% human, 20% half-elf, 20% dwarf, 20% other
Government
... the Ghodar Dim, now, apparently
Defences
An abandoned castle used to provide a safe place for the village, but the mists coming off the lake tend to 'protect' the town now by controlling the occupants to a greater or lesser degree, especially at night-time.
Industry & Trade
Thriving trade in magical items 'retrieved from the lake', good trade in fishing and export of rare fish, steady income from travellers and adventurers visiting the village to explore the lake.
Infrastructure
A windmill for the grain grown by the town, dock for fishing and exploration, excellent sewer system.
Assets
Under-lake cavern with rift crystal, regionally famous magic shop, award-winning pie shop, oceans of dead adventurer's loot.
Guilds and Factions
As most of the village council were recently wiped out in a, uh, terrible accident, there are currently no real factions. That is likely to change once those in power in the Duchy realise the situation.
Tourism
A good inn caters to a relatively steady flow of tourists and adventurers, although more of the latter than the former recently. The nightlife is non-existent, but the breakfast pies are to die for.
Architecture
Most houses are tall wooden buildings, heavily coated with pitch to keep the wood from rotting in the damp air, giving the village a gloomy air. The only wholly stone building in town is the jail, although there are a few stone buildings a little further out in the windmill and the abandoned castle.
The streets are well paved and fairly open. Gardens are few and far between, although some houses do have empty pots in front of windows and near doors that look like they were meant for plants.

Geography
The town sits between some of the lower foothills around the edge of Lake Lovil, and looks out over the lake towards Grinnel Mountain and the Frozen Fingers. Plentiful woods surround the area, and there are wide reedbeds along the edge of the lake.
Natural Resources
Fish, wood, crops, game, reeds, adventurers.
